77 K20 Internal locking hub

I've got a 77 K20 with a Dana 44HD and internal locking hubs. My question is, can I convert my existing front end to external (big spicer) locking hubs or would I need to change out the whole front end? I know the external hubs are weaker but this is a garage queen and I just like the "Big Hub" look. If anybody has any information on this please let me know. Thanks, Dana

Spindle n wheel hub. Stubs are the same, as rotors. I did this to a 1/2 ton 10 bolts years ago lol....
