The 2004r is the only one that has a super long pan (16 bolts) that goes all the way back to the tailshaft like that. Should also be an electrical connector for the TC lockup. They're great cause they can handle lots of power, have a great gear reduction in overdrive, and are still relatively short and small in the trans tunnel area.

Good call! The 200r4 can also swap in place of a th-350 without driveshaft modification, right? I've never done it. Was told that before.

Where do you find a 200r4 without strengthening ribs on the case and a vacuum modulator on the side?
You don’t but a turbo 400 does. |

Doh!!! You're right! And I also somehow missed the bolt on tailshaft housing too! Jeez, I'm losing it. It must be a TH400. Kind of a Texas shaped pan. The TH200 and TH200..4..r.., do NOT have a bolt on tailshaft housing. The case is all one piece.

well i actually sold it all. local guy bought the trans for 200. made 100 selling a few parts here (intake, distributer, ps pump and brackets) rest sold local all together for 275. so made about 575 off it...wasnt too bad. it paid for my speed engineering headers and holley knock off oil pan
