Poor man's dent puller. A 7/16 by 8 inch bolt nut and washer and a big socket. worked great.

Hung the Queens City AC unit, found the problem with the dash lights. It was the dimmer switch. Bypassed it and they work. Worked on a door today. Found some rust behind the door handle while I was stripping it. Cut it out and worked on skimming it.

Queen city AC unit hung in place. Have to do some more cable management... Looking for place to run the AC and heater lines.

You should consider the Z28 cluster swap for that. I did it in my 95 SS, and it is sweet.

I have been looking at this conversion on line. Was the wrong pretty much plug and play? I don't se a tach feed in the existing harness.

For now I an digging the digital dash but definitely on my list.

That digital dash looks great! Way better than those aftermarket ones.

Thanks Threedog, some may not agree, but after 15 months to ponder on the idea ....

Re: 1964 Caprick-up = (C10+SWB)*(94 Caprice 9C1+LT1)

Made the battery box. I opted to build one instead buying one. I feared they were to deep and I could have some clearance issues if I go lower. Took out all the old battery cables and installed new cables. Moved the ground to back of the head instead the front. Got a coat of paint on the new metal but didn't take a pic.. Now a little more cable management..

Re: 1964 Caprick-up = (C10+SWB)*(94 Caprice 9C1+LT1)

Well thanks for asking... It is slow going. I think I have about 25 hours in each door.. These pics are a couple of weeks old but I have them sitting with a couple of coats of high build primer now. Starting to skim the hood too.. I media blasted the doors, hood and cowl before I started. I have my drivers fender and passenger fender is on order.

I hope to hang my doors this week end and get them ready for paint. Then maybe I can get some interior going.

I also picked up some tan seats out of 04 chevy with integrated seat belts, console and cup holders. I decided to go this route for now because I really want to drive it and thought it would be more comfy for my old tail...

Re: 1964 Caprick-up = (C10+SWB)*(94 Caprice 9C1+LT1)

Bought some wheels from a fellow 67-72 chevy truck guy that I met via Craigslist. I finally got the doors mounted and lined up. A little more tweaking and sanding and they will be ready for paint. I put a fender on just to check if things line up...

So how low should I go??

It is all coming together...

Nice! Good to see you're still making progress. I really like those wheels. Those the Eagle 225's?
