I was at the MainStreet Cruise-In in Cleveland TN and a guy asked "Is that a 67". I said no it was a 64. By the way the MainStreet Cruise-In is a great place to see all kinds of cars. Folks are great.

At the gas station random guy in a generic grocery getter says, "cool truck but what kind of mileage you get?"
Me, "pretty good, like 12 with a tail wind"
Just curious, anyone else had that question? Heck, if I was concerned about milage I'd drive some ugly eco-friendly hybrid pile.

I get lots of "Thumbs Up" for my 65 Suburban, even as it sits now with tissue thin rattle can primer on it. Back in the 90's, I turned down 2 $12000.00 and a $15000.00 cash offer for it when my wife was driving it to Sedona for work.

What year is it? I tell them 66. Then it goes into my dad or my grandpa had one back in the day..., and it's usually on my way to work when I don't have time to shoot the breeze. Dang, I love to stroll down memory lane to but it's just a truck to me. Joseph
