Rubber Bumpers for Front of Hood

I have thin rubber bumpers down the sides of the hood on my 1953 Chevy 3100. Are there supposed to be rubber bumpers on the front of the hood (under the Chevrolet emblem)?

Thanks.

Wade

The thin ones go on the sides and the thick ones are for the front.

I don't see any holes in the latch panel for the bumpers to fit into.

I'm saving that photo and putting it in my things to know file for my truck.

Thanks Jim. Looks like I had too many bolts going to the grill. Greatly appreciated.
