I found a 84 GMC 1/2 ton with a blown engine. I need to know what parts i could use in the 72 GMC aka "Big Blue"
im thinking: auto trans, it's a th350 , power steering pump and pulleys, and maybe the steering cloumn. and rear chrome bumper.
The guy only wants $400 for it , so is this a good deal? and what other parts should i look to use out of the 84 into my 72?
Any help appreciated.

If your truck still has the stock short waterpump setup, you will need to change everything over including the waterpump and moving the alternator to the passenger side to get that setup to work
