Blazer mud guards

I just replaced rusted out body pannels ( the one's in front of the rear tire, next to the lower door/rocker pannel ).. This area seem's to be holding spot for mud.
What have you done to stop this problem??
I was thinking about cutting some plexily glass for a guard to stop the mud.
Any idea's or pics would be great!!

I just make sure to clean the areas that trap debris every time I wash the truck.

I have read in 4wd magazines that old floor mats make good mud barriers.

PAM COOKING SPRAY, SPRAY IT ON, MUD ALMOST FALLS OFF ON IT'S OWN,
AND IF IT DOESN'T FALL OFF ON IT'S OWN IT WILL WASH OFF W/ NO WORK.
