A good book
Hello everyone. I eventually want to do a body off restoration to my 1970 jimmy and was wondering if anyone knows of a good book or manual that would be of use when doing something like this. I have heard about truck books showing exploded views of the body and all the parts but I cant seem to find one on book sites like chapters and amazon.

The factory assembly manual would be the closest thing to what you are looking for. Only the places that sell these trucks parts sell them. It won't give you a ton of info, I find it a little bit helpful for some things but it doesn't have all the answers. If nothing else you should pick one up just for entertainment value, it is neat to look thru.

Just take it all apart and figure it out as you go lol Best way to do it...only way to learn it
 Now that I still haven't put my 402 in my '72 Blazer, I'm just going to do a frame off this month and next I think and redo the entire body etc properly. I figure may as well and shouldn't take too long....even though we all know they do.Good luck with the tear done and rebuild. Get some pics up of the beast as you go along.
