Re: lets see your trick mods and custom touches!!
Man I like that truck! That is asume. Great job on the mods.
I have to ask though. Why have a battery cut off in the bumper where everyone see's it? Is it for racing purposes?

http://www.chevsofthe40s.com/detail/...GHTS_TURN.html you have to do a little modification to the core support to get them to fit in there. The blinkers are wired just like the stock blinkers. Although you need an LED flasher. For the grill you just need an extra upper insert and rivet it into the lower opening. |

[QUOTE=Ackattack;5307126][quote=smoknbarrels;5306579]
I got these http://www.chevsofthe40s.com/detail/...GHTS_TURN.html This is the coolest mod I think I have ever seen. I agree with the comment that the bumper lights break up the smooth look of the Chevy bumper, I think this is one reason why I prefer GMC's. Very very cool. Did you also do the headlight relay upgrade mod at the same time? That is our next one to do, we bought the relays yesterday and have the installation details from this forum. Headlight relays, 10 guage hot wire 2 5 prong bosch relays big ground wire connectors 1 Read the article 2 Parts list 2 Bosch relays, spade connecters, wire, and inline fuse. 3 Look at wiring sheet 4 Decide that you can do this 5 Start by finding the 14LG and the 18LT wire on the back of the left headlamp. 6 Disconnect the (- Neg) battery cable. Mount the relays to the core support above the horn. You may have to make room for them. 7 Follow the 14LG wire towards the fuse block. Mark it. This is the one to cut. 8 Follow the 18LT wire towards the fuse block. Mark it 1st. Cut this one also. 9 Do the wiring: cut 18LT (or low beam) and run the wire from the fuse block to Terminal 86 on the relay. run the other end and that comes from the headlamp plug to Terminal 87 on the relay. cut 14LG (or hi beam) and run the wire from the fuse block to the Terminal 86 on the 2nd relay. run the other end to Terminal 87 of the 2nd relay. 10 Terminal 85 goes to ground. 11 Run a heavy wire (12ga.) from + Battery Post to Terminal 30 of both relays. Just run it through the stock wiring across the radiator. Add a inline fuse on this one. 12 make sure every thing is connected, secure wires, replace (- battery cable ) 13 Enjoy Brighter Head Lights |

Re: lets see your trick mods and custom touches!!
Man I wish my buddy had one of those! I'd be killing his power at every stop light. lol I just put one on the back of my Camaro. If you are upside down at the end of the track and about to catch on fire, it's nice when someone else can turn the ignition off. You combine that with a Ford remote solenoid and all of the power stays to the back of the car. Nice if you hit the wall, bend your frame and get into that massive starter cable.

Re: lets see your trick mods and custom touches!!
Thanks Cheby. I had considered putting together a kit, but didn't think there would be enough interest due to the cost of everything (LCD, head unit, ...)
I put together a how to a few years back for those interested: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...ad+unit&page=1 |

Re: lets see your trick mods and custom touches!!
You'd be surprised what people like 67cheby (aka Mike) will spend on their trucks.

Re: lets see your trick mods and custom touches!!
Oh no, I wouldn't be surprised at all. There are a lot of trucks turned into rolling and loud artwork on this board. This thread alone is a great demonstration of that fact.

Here is my skull tach. It started life as a fish aquarium decoration I found at walmart. I still want to diffuse the eyes and nose and install some green LEDs for night driving
