Any one interested in a tool forum??

I know I would be, seems to be a lot of info on tools here and it would be nice to have it in one place.

It would be cool to see how people make tools from other tools. For example, you need a few "special" tools when rebuilding a tilt column, but all of them can be made with normal tools or hardware.

Re: Any one interested in a tool forum??

i voted no. simply because there are soooo many sub-forums already here, and the reality is, you can go into any of the specialty forums and talk tools related to the topic.

want to know about mechanical tools? go into the engine forum.
want to know about body/air tools? go into the body forum.
want to know about general tools? go into the general forum.
want to know about adult-only tools? go into the shop talk forum.

Re: Any one interested in a tool forum??

I thought it would an interesting forum, specifically related to out trucks. The other sites seem too generic to me.

Re: Any one interested in a tool forum??

A tool fourm would be a good Idea for people who have questions on welders or air compressors. It would be nice to have a place for newbies that don't know what to look for in tools.

Re: Any one interested in a tool forum??

There are extensive threads about welders and air compressors in the body shop forum already.

In fact, there is a ten page long thread about nothing but welders that is literally stuck to the top of the body forum for years now.

Not arguing, just pointing - the current system is working well
