Re: New toy brings me to this area!!

I live in south Florida and have a non air s-10. I put a sliding back window in it, 3-60 air.

The quick silver is a pain. I have made a part that replaces the spring with a detent to prevent it from dropping into ratchet mode, unless it is pushed down.

Terry.

Wow, nice black truck!! It's clean and mean looking. Drop in some 3.55 gears in it. You'll get some nice street manners and top speed.

Re: New toy brings me to this area!!

Thanks guy's,I am going ahead with a underdash aftermarket air. I have been picking up the pieces a little at a time.
Right now I have the motor tore down, seems like my piston skirts are shrinking and rod and main bearings are damaged. I'm holding court with myself on which way to go,putting in a 383 stroker kit- 355 kit or 283 crank and make it a 302 or buying a LS1 and going New School.
I'm going to sell my NOS kit for sure the same way with my wheels and tires.I have put my 3:42's in and I like them so far. I need to sell my 4:10 ring and pinion so it looks like I may be listing a bunch of parts for sale later.

I hope you ditched the fugly plastic fuel cell. I think I would have one made for that location to work with the 5.3 you just got. Besides having that cell sit that low would be a rock magnet cruising.

Thanks,I think! The fuel cell will have to stay for a while as the 5.3 is draining my check book. It has a aluminum rock gaurd under it , The cell is only a 12 gal. so I would like a bigger one anyway.
