First off is this vacuum line. It comes off of a sensor that is bolted to the drivers side of the intake manifold. You can see it extending up over the manifold. It's in the center of the pics.

You can se in this picture there's about a 10 or12 gauge with a ring terminal on the end that runs down the passenger side of the manifold and around the back of the manifold. I jet pulled it up so I could take a pic.
you can also see the end of the vacuum line in the previous pic

here you can see some brackets and braces and a harness. The last two pics are pics of each end of the harness. Thanks alot fellas.

Chuck why didnt you ask me these questions, I can answer all of them I took it apart and Know how it goes together. Call me when you get a chance and Ill explain it to you. The wire your holding in your hand not attached its off the other engine, you dont need it. If you need me to Ill come over to your house and show you whats what

68C15 is correct on the fan swap. I guess you should go electric. I would opt for a two speed fan. Or at least a controller that can shut off the fan at highway speeds. You can install a bypass switch if necessary for long trips.

Re: New to me Blazer

Finally got off my lazy butt and worked some on the blazer...I got the battery in, radiator and heater hoses hooked up, water pump pulley and fan installed, serp belt installed, radiator installed and air intake system installed...

I have a couple of questions on some stuff I'm having problems with though...

1. there are three spots for connectors on the coil...one up front and two in the rear under where the coil wire hooks up...I have the front one and the one on the passenger side in the rear...I cannot find the drivers side plug for the life of me...I need to know where to look...if I knew where the connector went back into the large harness I could trace it back and find it...the one on the passenger side goes into the harness about 5" from the plug.

2. I've got juice to everything now that the battery is hooked up, but I don't have turn signals....they don't work for some reason...where should I start to look...also, the dash lights don't come on with the headlights or parking lights...

thanks fellas...it feels really good to start working on this thing again...

Re: New to me Blazer

from memory the coil has a tower for the coil wire which leads to the cap, a 2 wire plug which feeds from the main harness (one pink and one white wire) which IIRC is a gray connector, and a short small harness (2 wire, also pink and white) with black connector that feeds to the ignition module.
I may have the connector colors mixed but the black one goes on first and then the gray one.

do you have tail lights? if not I can check today and see which wire to test at light switch. if tail lights do work I can tell you which wire to test at panel dimmer/dome switch.

I can't remember where the turn flasher is located, I'll have to check on that.

I believe the flasher relay is above the gas pedal in a little fuse box (goes beside the radio)

Re: New to me Blazer

Gotta little bit of progress done. Got the blazer on the concrete pads behind the shop and up on some 12 tons jack stands lol. Anyways, got the shocks on the rear glass and tailgate straightened out, they were mounted funny and needed some tlc. Also got the junkyard taillights in to replace the ricer taillights that were in there. Also figured outboth passenger side windows don't work for some reason. That'll have to wait until later. So now I have no excuse but to work on the poor thing lol

Re: New to me Blazer

I'll try to remember to get the diagrams tomorrow and call you in the evening. same # as before?
as luck would have it we had a 95 come in on the hook Friday afternoon. no start with no fuel pump signal from the PCM. I can find the flashers and maybe, just maybe take a few pics of the wiring on the engine.

Re: New to me Blazer

Thanks buddy I really appreciate it. I'm not too sure if the number is the same so I'll pm it to ya again. Also, the real wiring issue I'm having is that one the back of the coil there are two connectors I have one of them but I don't know where the other one goes. There's also one on the front that I have also. I just can't find that other darn connector for the back of the coil. Thanks again man.
