door handles

Is it just me or is there an inherent problem with the door handles on the 69-72 Blazers? It seems that every door I see has either the inside or outside handle missing.. I have what I need for my current project, but just bought a 72 and both exterior handles are gone. Is there some secret I should know before I replace the handles. or install new ones?

Re: door handles

The inside handles break because people use them to close the door instead of the armrest. Don't know why your utside ones are gone.

Re: door handles

Not blazer specific, no different than the truck doors, just cut down at the factory with a plate added to the latch area.

No secrets, just keep em lubed inside and out. (handles)

Their 30 plus years old and they break sometimes due to wear and tear, no mistery.
