I'm worried my hood might fly off

Yep around 70 or so my hood starts to shake around like it's going to fly off and smack my windshield, it is a 2" cowl from I don't know where, but it has all the hardware from the stocker, has anyone else ecountered this is there a solution other than hood pins? I don't know if I wanna just slap a set on.

Any info on if your hoods do it or not and how to fix it would be great!

if you're worried that much, you could always put some hood pins in it then you wouldn't have to worry about it...

Re: I'm worried my hood might fly off

On my race car I used the production hood latch in the center and then added Dzus fasteners at the front corners, painted body color (black in this case).

It's pretty discrete and has been good to 136 mph.

Re: I'm worried my hood might fly off

yes the bumpers are there, the hood only flexes up above the fenders not below them so hood latch? it doesnt really move in the center around the hood latch but it flexes around the edges.

Super Chevy? We did an article for Popular Hot Rodding, which was then lifted for something called "Chevelle - Chevy's Mid Size Muscle" magazine - but I didn't know about Super Chevy.

I'll have to check that out -
