Monroe Magnum 60 4“ Lift questions

Hi I‘m planing to install Monroe Magnum 60“ shocks on my 84 6.2l Diesel K20 with dual shocks in front and a 4“ lift. I found an old advertising of these shocks on a Squarebody. Can anybody help me which ones I need with a part number and maybe where to buy?

If you go to RockAuto.com they have shocks for the quadshock setup. The shipping will be expensive as you are in Germany.

Re: Monroe Magnum 60 4“ Lift questions

unless you want the look of quad shock skip them as shock tech has gone leaps and bounds since then and single shock is way better ride than quad shock .

and cheaters trick from years ago was ford 99-03 ish ford super duty 3/4 ton or 1ton shocks with a little tweeking to bolt size and watch the lengths to what you need off the specs listed and they swap in easy .

I used the Bilstein B8 5100 (24-187077 front, 24-187084 Rear) for my Suburban with a 4" lift.

Re: Monroe Magnum 60 4“ Lift questions

Silverado_men, I’m not trying to hijack your thread but I have a question for you guys here. It’s somewhat related to your post.

I have a 75 K10 swb that I recently picked up. I’ve never owned a pickup like this before. It has several aftermarket parts that are 70s/80s style which I like.

It has blocks in the rear and from what I can see, nothing but quad shocks in the front to make it different than stock, suspensionwise. No quad shocks in the rear.

This may sound dumb, but if I want to keep the same quad look with the more normal ride quality of a single shock at each corner, can I just leave the quad shock setup and run two “dummy” shocks in the front that don’t do anything. If so, maybe you can tell by looking at the shock mounts in the pictures, if there would be unequal stress on just the one normal shock.

I hope this made some sense.

Also if I want to put 33” tires on the truck how do I lift the front so it doesn’t rub? It looks like the backs would clear fine. This is how the truck sits now. The tires are currently 30x9.5x15

Thanks for any help -Vinnie

My fault. Here is the rear clearance. Sorry no measurements. It just started raining and I can’t get out there to take a picture with a tape clearly
