Is it pretty common to remove that outer trim?

Or am I seeing things? In a couple of those pics it looks like the outer trim has been removed.

I'd like to remove mine if for nothing else so I won't have to bother trying to get it all to line up @ the corners.

A lot of the 67-68 trucks came factory with out the trim. You can remove it and weld up the holes.

How would you get to the hood latch?

the same way you do with all there grills, it comes with a t bar that goes down under the bumper.. and you push up

Use Putter's mod and mount a cable in the cab like the late model trucks.

Keep it stock!!!!!!! The grill is imo what makes it a 72, or 68 etc. Keep it stock!
