What kinda backspacing and body work did you have to do to accomplish that?

I am getting ready to purchase 255 40 20s and 295 40 20s for my 72. What are your opinions after having the toyo proxies? Traction, tire wear, ride? With a 420 tire wear rating, I'm worried their hard tires that will just get roasted under full throttle.

Looking into this same setup...What width wheels are those? That would make a difference with the placement inside the wells.

I've got about 2000 miles on a new set of 255/20-295/20 proxies. No complaints.

My truck sits a lot and these tires seem to hold up well to that too. Some tires will temporarily flat spot really quickly ( like in a few days of sitting ), these don't. The tires aren't excessively noisy and I see no tread wear yet ( rears have been lit up a few times hehe ). Ride? Well, there is only a couple inches of tire sidewall in the front and just a bit more in the rear so YMMV but the tire doesn't seem to have much opportunity to aid in ride quality.

Those wheels were 20x8.5 front with 5.25" BS and 20x10 rear with 5" BS. Since they were custom billets I ordered the exact backspacing that I wanted.

Aaronpetty82: I am also wanting to run a 315 tire, however 315 tire recommends minimum 10.5 width wheel. Are yours truly 10" or 10.5"?

That helps a Lot A Rod! 10x20 wheels are more common than 10.5x20. Thank you!

Re: What tire sizes everyone running with 20's

Have a 64 c10 stepside, putting 20x9.5 on back and 20x8 on front looking for some recommendations for tire size. Have 3" drop in front and 4" drop in back.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.
