control arm question

I have a 69 C10 I am bagging. It has72 disc brake spindles. I found a good deal on some 84 model lca's that have been cupped. Will these work with my same upper arms, or do you have to switch both?

They will work,... and the '84 lower balljoint will even work with your 71-72 spindles.
However, you will need to change the '69 upper ball joint to a 71-72 balljoint.

Thanks, Lolife! I was thinking you might know from reading your other posts. I have already replaced all the ball joints, and ran into the slight confusion of the ball joints being different. I have already rebuilt all the suspension and steering on the truck, driven it less than 500 mi, and have decided to chage my brand new CPP drop springs for air bags. Thanks so much for your help. BTW, are the cross shafts and bushings interchangeable?

No.
67-72 a-arms have steel bushings.
73-87 a-arms have rubber bushings.
