Re: 64-66 door weatherstrip-EUREKA!!!!

I have had to slam my doors with the Precision seals. Bought and tried the Honda seals with no real change. Luckily they took them back. My success came with bending the door flanges and adjusting door/fender a bit. Just my experience.

I didn't have any luck with the Honda seals either, the doors were too hard to shut.
I also re-installed the precision brand seals, which were also tight.
Long story short, after 5 months in hibernation over the winter, when I brought the car out of storage, the doors closed much better.
I guess that the precision seals relaxed.

Something I've noticed with trucks that have aftermarket rockers- the lip that holds the seal is too far out which makes any seal too tight against the door. It's something to check if your doors are hard to close and has had the rockers replaced.
