Re: Post pics of your Longbed Trucks!! No short stuffs allowed or wanted!!

I'll play along. I bought this last summer as a "beating cancer" present to myself. I've always wanted a 67-72 Chevy or GMC but somehow life kept getting in the way. I figured now was as good a time as any to go ahead and get one.

Re: Post pics of your Longbed Trucks!! No short stuffs allowed or wanted!!

Thanks Norgermish. I guess I should have said I beat it (for now) Only time will tell. Been dealing with this for awhile. Bought this truck a week after getting home from spending five months living in Nashville TN. to be close to my doctors and a week after moving back home I found this truck about 300 miles from my home. So after a nice road trip, it has a new home Green was not my first choice of colors but I wanted something with factory air and NO rust so I bought it. Now I get to have some fun for the first time in a long while.

Understood, my Mom had Cancer and has survived it for 15+ years, she is 92 now and I take care of her. Brain is gone but she still laughs at my goofiness. Green wasn't my 1st choice either, (but it is now that I have it!!), I always wanted a cool truck!!! Have fun with yourn, you deserve it.

Thanks Paul. Hope your mom continues to do well.

On a lighter note; Lets keep the pics coming. Sure are some nice longbeds on here. Lets show everyone that we don't belong on "the island of misfit toys"

I'm glad to hear you beat the big C, and you got a GMC.

Has that truck ever resided in north Arkansas? A friend had one just like that.

Hi Larry
I think now I can say GMC ( in my case ) means Got-rid-of My Cancer

I don't know where the original owner was from but the man I bought it from was supposedly the second owner and has had it since the early 80's and it spent all of that time in northeast Alabama and southeast Tennessee or at least that's what I was told.
