Scott's Hotrods Bolt in IFS...coilover edition

So earlier in the week we posted the bolt on ifs, airbag system..

I know we mentioned the Coilover IFS, but it can be hard to picture without....well, pictures!!

Here's a few shots.

The *****in thing about the coilover set-up is that my cost on a set of coilovers v. a set of bags/shocks is nearly the same, so no matter which way you order it, it'll be the same price.

Not sure if jephs422 covered any pricing yet, but as we sit right now the plain package is complete at $2895 W/ power or manual rack. That is complete hub to hub with your choice of 5 on 4.5 or 5 on 4.75 bolt pattern.

The brake system is going to be the only real functioning upgrade. Sure you can get stainless arms, polished coil-overs, etc..but for function, the brakes are going to be one of the deciding factors on your bolt pattern, rim size, etc.

I'll add some more pictures here in a bit.

Re: Scott's Hotrods Bolt in IFS...coilover edition

Excuse my ignorance but does this allow for changing the front end height or is it like a static drop where it is determined by the spindles and coils? What changes are required of the steering setup to support the rack?

I think they cover everything with the 5x4.5, 5x4.75, and 5x5.

Don't know who your welder is but I sure do hope you pay him enough...those welds look like jewelry...unlike some others in another thread here! Very nice piece.

I agree! It should have truck patterns not just car bolt patterns.

Nope! No where do they state anything about 5x5 bolt pattern.

If so more folks would be interested I would think!

Re: Scott's Hotrods Bolt in IFS...coilover edition

That would look much better on my "donor" chassis. I even have a motor and body for it. That looks great guys, nice job. There has been alot of interest in a setup like this.
good luck

Re: Scott's Hotrods Bolt in IFS...coilover edition

Well, just looking at the adjustable coil overs, I would say that there would be some height adjustability. I don't think it would be a lot and it's not something you would want to adjust on a regular basis though.

Re: Scott's Hotrods Bolt in IFS...coilover edition

We have several bolt patterns for our ifs you see here.
5on4 1/2
5on4 3/4
5on5
5on5 1/2
6 lung
For the drop our bolt in will give a 4 inch drop and you will have alot more ground clearence over the stock set-up.You will have some adjustment on the coli-over
on the rebound and spring tension. We have this setup with manual rack and we have
several options.Anybody intrested p/m us or e-mail us
justin@scottshotrods.com
jeph@scottshotrods.com
sales@scottshotrods.com
scotts@scottshotrods.com
(805)485-0382
One more thing we also have this bolt-in with our superslam setup that has a slam bag
instead of the coil-over.
This unit can be installed in 35 min once you have the factory crossmember out of the
frame.Any questions please ask.

I have a Scott's system in all stainless under the front of my '33 Ford. Add Shockwaves and it works awesome. Their work is amazing.

This will change the drop up to 4 inches and for steering hook up you
will need two steering u-joints and one d/d shaft and we have these in
stock at the shop.

Re: Scott's Hotrods Bolt in IFS...coilover edition

This PU is mostly going to be stock mechanically as I am using it for a tow vehicle. I bought the system for my '33 at the NSRA Louisville event in 2002. Still looks like new and works great. I really like the Shockwaves on my setup.

We can change the drop for you for sure.We can install our stock spindal
instead of using the drop spindal. That will bring the truck down two inches.
