64-66 clusters

I have two complete clusters that I have pulled apart detailed and what I call preserved. These were in really good shape and I wanted to preserve them as they were made and not glass bead any of the parts. After a very good cleaning I clear coated all the tins. I cleaned all the faces of the gauges and cleaned the workings with air. Tested the gauges with a voltmeter to ensure no open circuits. Painted the inside, the face and the bezel. Cleaned all the plastic parts for the indicators. Polished the original front faces. All the needles have been repainted. I cleaned the speedometer gears and reset the odometer to zero and ran the speedo for a mile to test its function and verify the odometer worked as it should. I can set these to any mileage needed. $175 each plus shipping.

Re: 64-66 clusters

Jimmy,

Interested in one of them, any differences you can point out? Is it easy to add a factory tach? Bezels that are black/gray, what condition?

thanks

Re: 64-66 clusters

This is done with the black bezel and the new decals I am doing for the side fillers. Done in the same manner as the other two with all original parts.

Re: 64-66 clusters

Hey Jimmy,

Do you have a dash with the silver bezel, with the C10/Chevrolet decals assembled?

Any mods you suggest for lighting? How much to ship 22655?

Thanks,

Pappyx4!

Re: 64-66 clusters

I can swap the bezel from silver to black on any of these. I would say shipping would not be over $15 to get it to you. As for lighting I just use what came in them stock in my truck. Several folks have gone to the LED replacements with good results.

Not right now. The GMC stuff is scarce around here and I have not been able to put my hands on any.

Re: 64-66 clusters

Very nice work. Would you consider refurbishing one for someone if they sent it to you, and if so a rough estimate on cost?

Thanks,
Wade

Re: 64-66 clusters

I have no problem doing one. Cost would depend on condition. Hard to tell with out seeing it. Will also take clusters in as a core.

Thanks for quick reply Jimmy. PM me your address and I'll send you one to check out. Might be a few days though. Gotta list some stuff on here to raise some extra $$. This Christmas shopping thing knocking a serious dent in my wallet.

I have the cluster above with the silver bezel ready to go. I can switch it with a black one if needed. I can also build you one if you want as I have parts ready for several more.
