I am almost finished laying out an actual delay wiper KIT for our trucks, that will be easy to install for the end user and will take the headache out of trying to wire it up yourself. I just need to get some input as to how many folks would actually be interested in a KIT, if it were offered, and any suggestions from those who have actually done it yourself that would make it easier for the next guy.

I have done it in my truck and made one or two for other members, and haven't had any issues that I know about yet, but I know of a few changes that I will make to simplify it for the next guy and welcome suggestions from anyone else who reads this.

I AM NOT trying to get 'pre-order' commitments from anyone and these are NOT for sale yet, so MODS, please don't get your undies bunched up just yet. When these are completed, I will make sure that all the proper steps (and fees) are taken care of to offer these on the board to other members.

So, if a kit for delay wipers is something you would consider installing in your truck, please let me know via PM or reply to this thread.

Thanks,
PUTTER

Sent you a check, per our conversation on Saturday.

Add me to the list for 2. Looks like the first 30 will be gone before you get to me, but let me know when they come available.

Add me to the list for a kit. Looks like the first 30 will probably be gone before you get to me, but let me know when my number is called.

is there a way to make them automatic? I am too lazy to reach up to the dash some mornings.

I plan to keep these as simple as possible in the wiring department.
No stripping, twisting, hiding it with electrical tape, etc...
You will simply remove the existing wiper switch, plug in the new wires, attach the hot & ground, and wipe....delay....wipe....delay.
These will be fuse protected by the original fuse marked "WIPER" in the fuse box, so you will know exactly where to look.
Also, once it is installed and you put the knob back on it, you will never know it is there unless you get on your back under the dash, and even then, it blends in with everything else. It looks completely stock!

I am definately interested.

Especially if Striker169 gets one, then if I can't figure out the install, I can call someone local.

BTW, a headlight buzzer would be good too, anyone know where to pick one of those up?
