Re: no feed back on project

What kind of feedback would you like? I have my projects in my signature just to make life easier for people to find them.

Re: no feed back on project

I very seldom ever venture over to the projects and builds page unless I see something that looks interesting when I check in.

I don't think I have looked in the parts for sale section in the past year though.

77 C 30 dualie, 454, 4 speed with a 10 foot flatbed and hoist. It does the heavy work and hauls the projects around.

Everybody's just been preoccupied with the holidays.

I check the top 10 or so project postings more-or-less weekly.

Re: no feed back on project

I also check the projects page periodically or if there is an email because I subscribed to that post (yours is one). I sometimes simply don't have time to post a comment unless there is something I see that could be done differently to save time or money or simply done easier, better or safer. If I didn't post a comment then that's a good thing from that perspective, lol.
a link to your builds in your signature would be an asset. like right now I don't remember the name of your build thread(s) so that would mean I would need to "check your other posts" from your name or do a search. the link makes it easier for us lurkers. mostly I can't spare that kind of time. like right now I am at work on a break so no time to spare.
pics are also worth a thousand words so post lots of pics, some from a distance away so we can see the whole project.

Very true. I've spent very little time in the garage since October. Just snagged a few days last weekend finally! Took me a good hour to remember where the heck I was up to on my project and unpack all the tools haha

Re: no feed back on project

my project continually gets put on the back burner. renos, surgeries, holidays, other peoples vehicle repairs (small business as a side job to firefighting) etc etc. it takes me 1/2 an hour to unpack enough stuff to SEE the project. then I can work on it but gotta leave enough time to clean up and put stuff away after for the next side job that is more pressing than my project. with that and the infinite number of slippery slopes we go down while mid project they seem to take a long time to finish up. how many times have we been caught in the "while I've got it apart I might as well....) scenario. or we see something somebody else did and want to change the idea a bit and make it our own. sometimes I browse through and check builds over a cup of morning coffee and sometimes I add comments. not always though, unless I feel I could make a difference bringing up a point or the builder needs help with a question.

Post a link to your projects. I am thinking you just aren't asking questions or something and expect feedback when you aren't asking for it.

i made a thread just for this and put it in my signature

i too am guilty of not going to the build thread page.
i do answer a lot of questions on this page and generally read all the questions for 55-59
some of those builds have no progress in years or so little it's not worth looking at.

Hey Tim, here's some help for the link in your signature. Copy and paste what's below, then remove the exclamation points to make it work.

i just noticed that you have not commented on any builds other than your own for the last couple of years
it goes both ways, no one will get to know you or what your likes/dislikes are if you keep to yourself
my build is long done, yet i post in many threads
i may not be a pro, but i know a lot about these trucks and don't mind sharing my knows
