I bet this is one heck of a ride.

One of my bucket lists. I love the way this beast sounds. Fellow Camaro lovers Enjoy.

Re: I bet this is one heck of a ride.

Nice video. I'll be honest, I drive my 95 Z28 even when I don't need to, and oftentimes the stereo is turned down so I can listen to that beautiful exhaust note.

I would love to have a 1st generation Camaro or Firebird convertible, but I passed "the one" up years ago and that opportunity will likely never come again. I have a second gen (not convertible, of course), but my fourth generation convertible is more fun.

Re: I bet this is one heck of a ride.

Nice, I like the 4th Gen Cars. I don’t drive my 5th much this time of year, it can be handful with summer tires and any real throttle input at low speed. I am taking it to Vegas for laps for charity on a few weeks though, can’t wait for that.

The money thrown at that car was nuts. It was awesome though.

Even in some of those straights that car was too fast...driver had to slow down!

Big Red is a cool ride.

For those of us who own Third generation Camaros, here is the DSE-Z

I bet the body seam at the door window rear corner is cracked, or cracking. They all did it with much less power.
Cool car. Love the color.
The ls7 cost more than the car did new.

In another configuration (more motor) they ran it to 266 mph. Pretty incredible to get to that speed with essentially a brick flying thru the air.

Re: I bet this is one heck of a ride.

I've owned 3 Camaro's. I bought them for my daughters.

The first was a 70, 350, 4 speed with AC, split front bumper and duck tail spoiler. The second was a 1992 RS 305 automatic. The last was a 97 Z28 Convertible.

The 70 was beautiful, the 92 was a really good car and the 97 was by far the most fun to drive.

Re: I bet this is one heck of a ride.

Big red is one heck of a car and the driver is top notch as well, happy they wrapped that chassis with the camaro skin, the first one was a real Camaro but they soon realized they needed a real chassis after a horrible wreck.

Re: I bet this is one heck of a ride.

Big Red is bad. 1st Gens rock! After watching this vid I watched this one. I'll be honest, I never loved these Camaros, but looking at this one has me thinking I should keep watch for a deal on one

Sweet Camaro for sure. Here is the video I watched. We have endless roads for a road handler like this

Re: I bet this is one heck of a ride.

I never took to those boxy Camaros for some reason. They are probably good cars but the design just doesn't appeal to me. Of course they weren't over powered at that time either.

My dad had an 86 he bought brand new when I was a kid. As I grew older I never followed the third gens much as they just weren’t fast at all, I had the same sentiments about the 4th Gen vettes too. Now that I’m older I’d love to have a built Iroc Z, I wouldn’t feel bad about cutting one up for a cage and going road racing at all.
