Re: chromed truck rally wheels

I bought a set of 4 15x7 6lug rallys that were chrome. I'm not sure the details about them, but there are some picture of them in my build thread linked below.

Re: chromed truck rally wheels

I had a set of 6 bolt 4x4 rallys that were chromed way back in the day. By the time I got to them they were starting to rust so I just painted them. They did start to rust right where they the face meets the outer ring so...On a daily driver I would not recommend it. Sorry no pics.. long gone

I would think that there is a very close chome powder-coating that would be the way to go and more durable...

After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Those aren't Truck Rallyes. Those are Car Rallyes.

Re: chromed truck rally wheels

I think (ok, I assume) that dbstepside is referring to a chromed truck rally not a chromed car rally with a truck bp. (they are nice, don't get me wrong, and was worth posting - but maybe not what he was asking about, that's all).

I've never seen a chromed truck rally personally - would be interested in a pic....

EDIT: Belay my last! Just saw them in stealthy's build thread (thanks).

They look nice. My personal preference would be powder coated though - I always thought that the contrast between the chrome and silver looks better than an all chrome wheel. Feel the same about car rallies.

Re: chromed truck rally wheels

If they were in a little better shape to start with I might have just cleaned them and ran them. But they were pretty rusted and pitted. So i just cleaned and painted them.
