Yes, moldings were offered on step side trucks, and cab and chassis's also in 67-68. My 68 1 ton was a cab and chassis new and it had moldings. They are listed on my option sheet. I dont believe you could get molding on a 69-72 thought. I have never seen proof of that anyway.

Re: original (not modified) truck pics

Thanks, in the near future i want to start a frame off restoration with some modern updates.

As of right now Im planning on converting it to a SWB, 5.3L with a 4l60e, probably going with an air ride, disc brakes front and rear, 20 inch wheels, gas tank relocation, bucket seats, change the interior pieces to black but keep the same shade of blue for the paint, and a few other small things.

Believe me I have thought more than once about a stock sort of refresh instead of the big plans I have for it.

That's been my experience, too. I had a CST/30 cab & chassis and it had no trim. I've seen Cheyenne Super Stepsides and they had no trim. The factory only offered deluxe 2-tone on Fleetsides,I've read that in dealer ordering books

Re: original (not modified) truck pics

Its ruff. Someone repainted it silver at one point. Had a 327 in it when my brother bought it. He put a 454 in it. Numbers matching rearend and tranny, have buildsheet too. Its my next project car. I wanna make the 454 healthier, have buckets/console for it, steeper gears and posi. It will be a very original looking car, just a little more oomph lol
