That Blazer has such beautiful, clean lines. I like it better without.

Re: With or without?

I think with the pictures without are better angles and a higher quality all around. The pics with the spare are lower quality and because they are a different angle and size they just don’t look as good. All things considered I bet it looks great both ways. Boils down to your personal feelings

Re: With or without?

Very nice looking Blazer. I like it better without. I had a Hickey spare tire carrier on my rig and took it off. Now I have to fill the holes...

Re: With or without?

What happens if you get a flat tire? I vote “with” because I don’t know what you are planning to do otherwise. If you move it to the interior you will lose storage stage. Do you just cruise around town or do you use it for off roading?

Re: With or without?

I like the way it looks “with”. I had one on my 70 blazer but took it off to put a 4 wheel pop up camper on. I saved it for another truck though. Do you notice a difference driving with it on? I had a 33 on mine and I could feel and hear it back there on bumpy roads.

Beautiful blazer, definitely without, truck is too clean and has the tailgate band. Mine sits on the floor in cargo area with a vinyl cover

Re: With or without?

Another vote for without Looks so much cleaner that way.

I have my spare in the rear cabin on the original holder, and I don't care for the space it takes up (if I had a flat I would probably just call AAA and have it towed home with or without the spare) but it is there.

Great looking rig!!

Thanks guys, I think I’ll like leave it on for a little while and then take it off. It doesn’t rattle or anything. I like the look both ways. No, I never off-road. It’s just for cruising around town, on pavement. I make the odd longer trip to my folks which is 3 hours away.

Re: With or without?

I don’t run one on my K5 but I think it kind of completes the “look” by being on there.

Great looking K5, btw!

I got some white plastic plugs at Ace and they work well. I think you could paint to match...

Re: With or without?

Looks great both ways but I prefer without the spare tire. Top off with the interior spare tire carrier is the best look imo

Looks great either way, but I vote to keep it. Makes it more unique.

Without!
Keep some tire plugs and an electric pump in case of a flat. If you ever get a total blowout on a Blazer with large tires, you'll need a body bag, not a spare.

Ya - I’m really not too worried about a flat - it’s more about the look. Can’t decide either way. I’ll prob swap back and forth. It’s only a couple of bolts.

Re: With or without?

I like both - without might be cleaner, but with the tire carrier is sort of nostalgic or old school.

BTW what tint % do you have on your glass?

Re: With or without?

I like it both ways. You can always take it off the brackets and put it back on when going out of town.

I have no idea what tint is on it. It was on the truck when I got it. The top had tint installed - the side windows are factory.

I say without. The bumper can't do it's job (god forbid) with.

Re: With or without?

That Blazer is so clean the spare tire carrier adds to it. Gives it a more complete look and sets it off with a desirable sought after accessory. It is obvious to all it is there for a reason, a damn good reason. It shows the truck is "better equipped". Definitely adds to the Blazer in a very positive way

I prefer it without but it’s fine with.

That Blazer looks so much like my old one it’s crazy. Nice rig!
