Re: E Brake help!

I converted my 65 to the 66 type set up. 66's didnt use the transmission crossmember as a pivot point. pretty easy to do.

Wink Re: E Brake help!

Most of the vendors that sell parts for our trucks sell the e brake cables. There are different lengths, one for the short and the other for the long... other than that everything should be the same.

e brake layout pics and other pics of the brakes

good luck.

These are what I bought for my truck, well the middle cable and the front cable. the front cable is mad of aluminum or light steel and would pull right through the hold down bracket when you pulled it, I modded my old one and it works fine. I had to mod my middle cable since I was using the 65 rear cables though.

Re: E Brake help!

Do they sell the rubber boots that sit where the cable goes into the ribbed tube? My e-brake froze up a few times last year and i'm thinking its from moisture getting past those seals. Had to carry a MAP torch around just in case, lol.
