96 2wd 4.3 auto....rearend question

I need to replace the rearend and need to know how to find the ratio. Are these trucks similar to the 67-72 where the rearend code is on the axle housing? Or should I be looking in a different spot? Thanks

You'll actually want to look in the glovebox at the RPO codes.

GU4 3.08
GU5 3.23
GU6 3.42
GT4 3.73
GT5 4.10

G80 Limited slip/locking differential
