Both the imagination/creativity, and fabrication skills you have are something that not many possess. Very good work! You're building something you should be very proud of..thanks also for the effort in showing the rest of us all your work.

Thanks man!
It looks really big when it's all by itself, but when the seats are in it fits just right.

Thanks Russ!

I was wanting something totally different from the usual I see in these trucks for the interior. (outside the box) so to speak.

Re: "Project Orangepeel" 52 A.D

Here are some shots of my cover for the fuse panel.

Pic 1.I made 2 pieces that can bolt in place and are 3 1/4" tall.

Pic 2. The top plate for the corner.

Pic 3. The shot here is a mockup of the top center plate.

Pic 4. The top plate cut out. The section cut out in the center is for the center console.

Re: "Project Orangepeel" 52 A.D

So after all the work I did getting the cover made I sat back and looked at it and noticed something was wrong.

My seat would not clear the top of the lid, so...I had to remake the front section.

Pic 1. I installed the seat and got the angle figured out and this is one of the new panels.

Pic 2. Mocking up the corner piece.

Pic 3. Corner set in place.

Re: "Project Orangepeel" 52 A.D

pic 1 This a shot of the tie in pieces for the corner.

Pic 2. Here I am figuring out the curved area of top and the tie in for it.

Pic 3. After getting the lid trimmed.

Pic 4. All painted with bed liner.

The entire lid is held in place with magnets.
Now I'll get started on the back panels.

Re: "Project Orangepeel" 52 A.D

Update:

I bolted the front clip together and started to get the headlights figured out.
And found the stock buckets were not going to work.
I picked up some new glass lens headlights and some LED bulbs.
And some new buckets.
They were fairly easy to install and worked out really good.
Here are a few shots.
