Steering Column Intermediate Joint Thingie Identification

hi guys I don't even know where to start with this thing, can someone please tell me what it is called and can it be replaced with a U joint of some kind, I don't see the shaft being D shaped so I don't know what to do

worst case scenario I just need that rubber boot or gator what ever it is called and I can repack it with some Crisco grease and send it
