Re: Tonight we're gonna party like it's 1999

The 99 reminds me of my old 96 daily driver I stupidly sold 8 years ago to by a new Avalanche at the time.

I trailered a race car with it so the drop was only 2-4 but it sure was a nice truck. Scored a smokin deal on 18" Billet Specialties SLX37 wheels for it too.

Re: Tonight we're gonna party like it's 1999

She's been gone for awhile, I forgot to say that my wife backed into it with her Suburban, killing the mirror including the a-pillar and getting into the passenger front fender and door pretty good. By the way ladies and gents, if you hit your own vehicle, it's (2) claims and (2) deductibles. Keep that in mind when your wife is backing out of the garage!

She was a great truck, but I got bored...and wanted to set her free. I traded (with the damage) for this:

When my wife backed out of my garage, and did this...

my insurance wouldn't even allow me to file a claim. Said this kind of accident is a common attempt to defraud insurance companies.

That's a good looking square. You should do what I did -- find a new parking place for it

Re: Tonight we're gonna party like it's 1999

Ouch, looks familiar! I guess State Farm really took care of us then. Funny thing was there were two different adjusters and they were night and day different. The guy that did the '99 was friendly, generous and really seemed to like the truck. Came out good on that one. The guy who adjusted the '09 Suburban was all business and stingy. I had to call him back and give him a little tug to get it closer to where I needed. It also pays to have friends with body shops!

Re: Tonight we're gonna party like it's 1999

I like the way our headed with this. Last year I sold my 98 xcab in order to get a 99 crew. Three kids don't fit very well into an extended cab. Kinda sucks though, the 98' was exactly where I wanted it, was fully loaded and only had 155,000kms. I have been slowly collecting the parts to modify the crew as well. Looking forward to your updates.
