Selling cars for my dad from a distance
My father just had a major stroke and will never be able to drive again. My parents need to sell his '48 Caddy and '35 Dodge PU rat rod however they are not very technology capable. They live in Coos Bay, Oregon which is a somewhat isolated coastal town (2 hours to Eugene which is the next largest city). I am in Seattle which is about an 8 hour drive.
Have any of you been through this and what did you find was the best way to help sell a vehicle from a distance?

Very sorry to hear about your dad. Is there any other family or does he have any car buddies that would be able to assist if you had a potential buyer?

Maybe consider vehicle consignment lots if there are any in the Coos Bay area. I'm sorry to hear about your dad Chris.

Re: Selling cars for my dad from a distance
It may be best to have them shipped to your house and sell them. Your very true story is going to sound like a lot of scams that are out there. I would either take them to a consignment lot, or have them shipped to your place so you can sell them.

Re: Selling cars for my dad from a distance
The consignment lot might be the best way to go. My mom mentioned that they have one "friend" who has a lot.
I'll keep looking into it, but first we've got to get him home (or at least back to Coos Bay). He is out of ICU but in the neurology stroke recovery center for the next few weeks at OHSU. Thanks all for the kind words.
