Check out the $20K+ Stock LWB

The market apparently respects quality. It's been a while since I've seen one of these in the 20's.

Re: Check out the $20K+ Stock LWB

I know that everyone wants to know why I am selling this once in a lifetime truck. I am 64 and have some health issues. I have sold my boat, my harley, my motor home as well as some other toys. I am saving the Best for last. It is time for Old Betsy to find a new home. I hope you enjoy her as much as I have.

Geeze that is sad. I hope he gets well and buys another one!
What a clean truck!

Super nice! I noticed though that Vin plate rivets are not rosettes. I personally seek lwb's and avoid swb's.

It's a sweet truck, and I'm glad there are cats that would wanna pay show car prices for a truck.

I sure as heck don't wanna.

I'd rather buy a hulk and rod the snot out of it.

Oh yeah... the sob story of poor health is just that. A story... I tend to not buy into that kind of stuff. Anybody can put on an auction that they are in "failing health".

They had wood beds in 72. The SPID wording is a little different though as seen below,

Re: Check out the $20K+ Stock LWB

If I lived in a world where I had the money to just go buy a new truck out right I would buy it, insure the crap out of it, and drive it just as if it came off the lot in 72. Beautiful truck... way to nice to not be driven.

That i one of the cleanest original restos I have ever seen. Only off things I see are the repop gauge bezel and the PPG glass. Wasn't original glass LOF?

Beautifull truck, but way, way too nice to drive.

Re: Check out the $20K+ Stock LWB

I noticed the rivets too. The vin was probably removed for paint.

Another thing that I noticed is the ad lists a CD player, but there isn't a picture of it. I assume the dash is cut, which in this trucks case would be kinda sad. Oh well.

Could be hidden audio or some other changer located somewhere other than the dash. As much effort was put into keeping that truck original I can't imagine the dash it cut.

Super nice truck!!! He went so original, I wonder why he changed to wood floor and I think it was originally ochre with a white top only.

What color interior do you think it left the factory with? The Sandalwood column and steering wheel seem out of place.

It was probably pretty close to how it is now except the dash pad should the same color as the wheel/column.

On parchment interiors I have seen about 1/2 with sandalwood parts and the other 1/2 with black wheel/column, dash pad and carpet. On this truck the black seat is obvious not original but I think the rest is.

Here is a 72 cheyenne (like his) with parchment with sandalwood trim. His carpet looks a little dark to me.
