We own a glass shop and most of the time we find that it's cheaper to replace the glass than it is to buff out the scratches. The compound for the system we use cost us about $100 bucks a pound, plus pads. We mostly use it on NLA or rare/hard to find pieces. The Eastwood kit will cause distortion if you take out deep scratches.
