Mufflers

I have heard that the flowmaster 40 series is too loud in the cab, but i love the original flowmaster sound....does anyone have sound clips or video of this muffler or of other options that might be out there like the 70 or 50 series flows??

I don't have sound clips, but the 50 series is quieter inside and out.

member dion has a truck with 40's on it. He has some video links in his signature that load quick and give you three areas, idleing, passby and rev.

I just bought a LMC exhust system and a set of 50 series Delta Fiows and man dose it sound good, not to loud and hardly any noise in the cab. But when you Stomp On It the true flowmaster sound is there. You can also go to flowmaster.com and they have sound bites of there muffler

Have you visited the Flowmaster website? They have a bunch of sound clips on there ex: a BB El Camino and an old Chevelle. Each exhaust is going to sound a little different, so those should give you a good idea on the sounds.

I want to order a set of 40 series for my 72 swb 4x4. Do they all have the same dimensions or are they different and if so, what size would I need to order. The frame has not been altered in anyway so it is stock underneath.
