I currently have an adapter but thought maybe I could get it to reach in there deeper. I heard about you and what your doing from Captn Fab so wanted to see if you could help.

It may be possible to modify the adapter bushing in a way that would allow the sender to go in further. Putting a counter bore in the bushing and tapping it deeper might get the result you're looking for, then again it may read correctly just as it is without any modification. I would try it to see if you get the correct reading. The aftermarket gauge might be better than the factory one.
