I traded for the set-up below to sell it, but I think I'm going to use it on this truck.

That would be so sweet that's what I want to do to my 67 gmc and leave the white and caps

Re: Pic Request Non lowered trucks Please

Ok I've narrowed down my choices to 3 versions to consider building
1. 1/2 ton SWB 2wd
2. 1/2 ton LWB 4x4
3. 3/4 ton LWB 4x4

Here are my two favorite truck vids on youtube

I don’t need a 4x4 I have just always loved the look of them when they have a nice set of tires on them and my whole life I always planned on building a 4x4 but the last 6 months or so the 2wd's have really started to grow on me and I'm finding myself liking their "stance" just as much as a 4x4.
The reason I'm so concerned with ride height is because occasionally ill have to use my truck as a truck for hauling things around the homestead or driving on a moderately washed out road or crossing a mild ditch on the side of the road and things like that. Nothing major in fact nothing that a regular passenger car probably couldn't handle but I just can't see a drastically lowered truck doing either. That’s why if I go with a 2wd SWB I want to stay pretty close to stock ride height.
Anybody have any idea how much the red one in the first vid has been dropped?
I wish there was someplace I could go and see some of these in person to help make the decision.

All 3 of these look like they would give me the ground clearance and look that I'm after

This Is very similar to what I want to achieve. I love the stock look with steelies and hubcaps but if Im cruising on the Hwy and I want to air down I have a choice. The thing is I do not want to c notch the frame I want a basic kit to air down. The issue is trying to compare stock height to a basic air down without much modification.

I need a pic of it aired down no c notch, just basic air down with it still drivable basically before it touches the inner fenders or anything else, Thanks in advance

Not lowered, but certainly has some original-spring sag going on...

I don't have this installed yet, but I will shoot you pics when I do.

I want the same thing. I'm not cutting up the frame of this truck. I want to get it pretty low to look great sitting in a parking lot, and have the ability togo back to stock height. I imagine I'll only be able to get as a low static drop (probably about a 5/7 drop) when aired out.

Both these trucks are stock height but both have smaller tire sizes on the front wheels.

Re: Pic Request Non lowered trucks Please

Raised mine back up to stock height this year. Not sure I like it as much. Lost some of the attitude with its altitude. Sure rides better though. Might drop it a couple of inches over the winter.

Re: Pic Request Non lowered trucks Please

Man I love them all. The hardest thing is deciding which version I like best. What about you guys if you were starting from scratch and could pick any model you wanted what would be your choice?
Short bed, long bed, 2wd, 4x4??
