AL WTB: 1955-59 Truck 265 or 283 V8 & Hydramatic - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I realize this a stretch, but I need to source any of the following for my various projects:

1) 283 V8 out of 58-59 Chevrolet pickup w/ "MA" suffix code (casting # not important - only suffix matters) willing to take a "M" suffix code too if engine is known to be good or complete.

2) same thing but assuming you will only sell the whole truck

3) any 55-59 Chevrolet truck w/ V8 Hydramatic still paired in it - any condition

4) any 55-57 Chevrolet truck 265 V8 w/ "LA" or "L" suffix code.

Let me know if you ever run across these - this is a non-expiring on going request. Thanks, Steve

Hey Steve , I saw a mid / late 50s p-van in a junkyard a few weeks ago. The engine was gone but it still had the auto trans and column in it. Dont know if this would be the same as your looking for. Pm or call me and i'll get the name and # for you.

idk if this will be the same but i have the original hydramatic off my 58 gmc was conected to a 270 i rebuilt trans and has about 400 miles since built asking 800 in los angeles ca

Thank you for posting this - I just carried two of them to the rebuilder to see what he can or cannot do or I would jump on your offer - hang on to that thing though, because if this guy can't rebuild these I will need yours - will let you know what the result is after he gets into them etc - Thanks!
