Re: Travel Mate truck camper

one thing to decide-with the int. lights & vents glued to the roof & multiple coats of white & aluminum paint, the roof panels have picked up a slight bow.
if i glue them down, they sit nice & flat. i think i'm going to try straiten them, i like the accessibility. also printed up a chev 454 decal for the tailgate, & 454 emblems for the hood
i have some "chain", might make tie-downs if i can make it so they come undone, don't want the camper permanently tied to the crew

printed up my trailer graphics, took a pic of our real one & just kept reducing it.
have to fix a blunder, no safety chain hook-up on the crew hitch. also need to wire a plug in it. also have to decide wether to glue the trailer sides down. right now their removable, but have gaps, if i glue them, they tighten & square right up. got the ramps made too.

our cartop boat is next. the quads are a major stumbling block. right now i'm thinking about making my own atv body's & putting them on Hot Wheel atv chassis's.

Re: Travel Mate truck camper

thanks cableguy! you nailed it, patience...& weather slowing down your job
you guys have a waaay better selection of everything than we do, wife was down in Seattle yesterday & found me some atv's! my Hot Wheel plan didn't pan out, they were too small, but she found these New Ray's (only had 2 styles to pick from though) that are around 1/30something scale & will work.
wife & my quad are black, so some paint jobs are in order, her's also has a 2-up seat i'll have to make. sons quad is red & white & i will need to make a whip flag for his.
and those white wheels-blah! we're running alum. mags on ours, so i'll have to figure out something there

the dimensions are close enough it will work. lot of extra crap inside to come out, & need to do something with that big flat spot on the bottom

Re: Travel Mate truck camper

took a break from suspensions & frames. did a little bit of boat work
still got to do front seat, handles, rope tie-downs & some inside ribbing. the boards for the motor will go on after it's painted. and then everything else for the boat-motor, oars, anchor & a fuel tank
