Just found out the wife is a square body Blazer fan!!!!!!!!!!

The wife and I have been together since 03' and today was the 1st day that I found out she was a square body Blazer fan. We pulled up to one of the local Wendy's after getting our taxes done and I eyed a mid 80's GMC Jimmy. Commenting on how it looked and what I wanted to do with my 2wd, she up an tells me that she used to drive one as a teenager @ her animal shelter after school job.

Then she tells me how much stuff we could fit in there when we go to the beach and how she always wanted one!!!!!!!!!!!!! Looks like we may be adding a 4wd Blazer or Jimmy to the family in the next year or so. I wish I would have known earlier because I have had many opportunities to pick one up............................. Thank God for good, understanding women.

Meh, my story went opposite. I had a lifted 4wd 76 K5 when I was dating my wife. It was loud and had plenty of rust in all the places you'd expect.

She's told me a few times since that truck was proof she loved me - she married me anyway.

Good story. My wife hasn't really came around to the Blazer idea. But she has told me that she would rock an early 50's sedan. And that is awesome to me.

My hasn't admitted to anything, but the other day commented on how she could not wait till the weather improved so we could go for a ride in the 73 (2WD), she even asked if i had gotten around to fixing the transmission

I guess that is a start.

Mine still hasn't come around to the K5 yet. She misses my old Camaro. It doesn't help that the truck has become a huge money pit and hasn't run in a year or so.

Re: Just found out the wife is a square body Blazer fan!!!!!!!!!!

Very nice indeed. Looks like we all found understanding ladies. Looks like I will be scrapping my factory 2wd K5 due to some title issues (can get one). I am on the hunt for a late 70's 4wd K5 so I can re-body it on top of the 2wd frame. I am sure my wife will love one more project occupying the garage. Wish I was in warmer climates. The 2wd I picked up is the only one I have seen in MD/DC/VA
