I don't think that will help, I believe the pto has to come off the transmission, my 66 has a sm420 transmision and a divorced transfer case.

I have a PTO on my '72 K20 that runs off the trans and was used to run a water pump for a well drilling rig. It only turns in one direction. You need one that powers in and out like I had on my Jeep M715. It is impossible to diconect the cable with tension on it. Can be a real problem on an incline or if you are winched up against something. Try the military guys....It's been a while but I think I remember seeing mechanical winches for sale for the later blazers they were running. Same trans SM465 but I'm not sure if it will work on a sm460. Hope this helps and I'll keep an eye out.

pto

Rossboss- I think I've got what you need. It's mounted to the side of a std(dont know which kind) transmission. It is a Tulsa PTO. I can get a pic of it tomorrow for ya if ya want.

I would be interested if it's what I'm looking for. The shaft has to point toward the front of the truck and clear the rear motor mount. I can find all kinds that point toward the rear, but they are for opperating dump beds and such.

Oh I realy don't know. I looked on e-bay there is one for 167.00. Is $90 plus shipping a fair price? I'll get a pic. I've not looked it over yet to see exacltly what it is.

rossboss-I looked at the pto today, it has the output on the back. Sorry, for some reason I was thinking it was on the front.
