David's 47 Project

Hi all,

I'm new to the forums here but I figured I could post some pictures of my truck and project. My Dad recently gave me this truck after several years, I grew up in it and it's been around for as long as I can remember. Hasn't run in 8 years until a week ago or so. Here's some pictures!!

Tires hold air! Need replacing though.

Rats got to some of the seating.

Thanks! Hopefully the plate number hasn't been taken by another AZ driver because the truck was last registered in 2004 and hasn't been renewed since.

Bear Down! I'm currently a student at the U of A and live in Tucson. The truck is in Vail at my Dad's house so it's a little bit of a drive to work on it. Glad to see some fellow Arizonan's around here.

Took me about four hours to clean it all. The seats are completely destroyed by the pack rats, I still have to get the upholstery off and eventually have the seating reupholstered. It was unbelievable how the amount of damage those rats did.

Re: David's 47 Project

Nice truck!!!

Don't run that radiator in AZ if you plan a V-8. Get an aluminum one.

Re: David's 47 Project

1000s of trucks cruised az and tx the 50s and 60s in the hot summer.
104* for half the power tour last year, my stock replacement worked fine.
