U Joint Size

I put my truck's info into MOOG's U joint kit selector (77 C10, shortbed, m/t), and it said I need one 1310 series U joint and one 1350 series. Does this sound correct? Seems weird to use one small and one large U joint since something is only as strong as its weakest link. Where is the larger 1350 U joint used on these trucks? The trans end or at the differential?

Re: U Joint Size

They're relatively easy to measure. I suggest you get down under the truck with a ruler before deciding what to buy. There's various tables online that show the measurement differences between 1310, 1350, etc.
