Re: Lower's 70 Ol Green build

The frames on 4X4's crack between the leaf springs on these with just 350's in them. You could reinforce and box the frame... a lot of work.
You are going the best direction, my opinion...

Calumet...I believe I've been through there, it's not the end of the earth, but you can see it from there!!!

Re: Lower's 70 Ol Green build

This truck sat outside most of its life, I've kept it mostly inside since I finally acquired it from my grandma, but it's about as rust free of a truck as I've seen.
Got the bottom of the cab liner and paint done, firewall, inner fenders and core support painted. Engine is all installed.

Re: Lower's 70 Ol Green build

And the past week I've been getting everything pulled out of the cab to put the ol girl into paint prison......
I had to hear it run at least a little while first!

Re: Lower's 70 Ol Green build

Well, when you can't find a factory color you want and you choose a paint color from a chip book.... it's way brighter than I was looking for but I had already bought it!

Re: Lower's 70 Ol Green build

Got a little more progress done. Painted the underside of the hood as well, never liked the black. The last pics are looking down the sides, I'm super happy with it being my first attempt at a complete paint/body job. Don't get me wrong, it has plenty of flaws, a few tiny dings I missed, and some trash from painting in a garage lol
Put in new window regulators, dyed the carpet, still have a lot of the small parts to Oder.

Re: Lower's 70 Ol Green build

Been a slow process, and I’m horrible about updating this thread. Tossed in a Vortec 454 in place of the high strung 355, don’t mind the ac hoses, that’s just to seal it off until I can get an ac system, got the tailgate painted and installed, new front bumper.
