Hi! I come a'begging

Hi, sorry to barge in with my hand out! My name is George and I have a web series about restoring my classic cars. This is not a plug. A big part of what I'm trying to do is encourage people like me who have always wanted a classic but put hurdles up for no good reason and are literally wasting time. So in each episode I try and feature someone else's story.

Last week I met a guy while searching for a runabout for my parents. He's a mechanic and classic car lover. Turns out his dream car is a 1950-1955 step side pickup (Chevy or Ford). I'd be jealous.

I don't have the material for a full feature but I want to mention him to make a point and I need some photos of a pickup. I don't want to just pinch someone's hard work from Google, so I thought I'd try get in touch with some pickup owners and see whether anyone would like to send a few photos for reference (or even video).

Would love to hear from you if you're into it! It's a modest web series but it's getting some nice feedback and support, and the main thing is it has integrity - I won't sensationalise or stretch reality for effect. I'm trying to do a car guy thing for car guys. This is episode 01 for ref. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ta7Yk8cW-TA&t=4s

Yours in anticipation,

George

PS, I was just looking at your CG finds thread and the things you are turning up made me sick. If the series ever took off I think I'd have to go to the states and try and resurrect a step side.

Hey George, I looked at the intro. I love the stop-action video. It adds a lot of interest and actually makes it easier to understand. Can't wait to see the rest of them!

Re: Hi! I come a'begging

Hi Tom! Thanks, it's great to hear. Making it to the point and easy to understand was my main goal, although as yet it's light enough on actual know how, but I'll get there. The time lapse seemed liked the best way to get me out of the way and get relatively detailed footage of whats happening.

I've managed to find a truck owner so thanks anyone who may see this but stand down, for now!

So what's the Drum Brake Club Tom?
