Re: My 67 build

Thanks ya sir. We are using the booster out of the 2014 corvette that got totaled "26,000 miles" We are using the engine, trans, booster, wiring harness "modified of course" radiator "also modified" . We used headman medium headers on it and had to slightly cut the frame. The plans are to use a stage 2 cam from vengence racing out of Atlanta. The ecm has already had the redline and security thing removed. We plan on sending the ecm the vengence to tune it when we do the cam. Thanks for the replies guys.

Re: My 67 build

This is the color I decided to go with which is blade silver. Thinking about doing a gunmetal satin wrap on the raised part of the hood. If it's not what I'm looking for we will remove it. We will be good no with the TMI for interior which will be black with red stitching.

Yeah, I think Twotrucks is correct-they are backwards. At least according to the way mine had been when I got it and I am pretty sure the guy before me really knew what he was doing. The frame shop that aligned my truck never corrected me either, so I figure this picture illustrates how it should look. Notice the front is longer than the back "leg". That is how the new TCI control arm on my kit are also. It has to do with the caster effect I believe.
Note: I am NOT trying to be critical with this post. I just think that your ride and wheels might suffer if this is not corrected. So, hopefully this and Twotrucks comment will make it a better ride for you!

That paint looks GREAT! Attention to detail on that VIN plate as well. Can't wait to see the finished truck.

Re: My 67 build

Time to put a little time in. Hope to have a rolling by chassis by tonight. Brakes, rear end, axles, and tires/wheels on the truck.

Re: My 67 build

I'm going to post this in the classifieds but for you guys following my build know that these early classic drop spindles wouldn't work with my wilwood brakes. I never mounted them so they are brand spankin new. They are 2.5" drop. Let me know if your interested. Thanks JT

Rear end is done along with the rear brakes. We plan on putting the cab on this afternoon and taking the bed off to get ready for the paint booth.

Re: My 67 build

Interested in seeing how the dash turns out. I've never been able to get away from the classic look but I really enjoy seeing different approaches.

Re: My 67 build

Quick question. Are these helper springs in the rear worth keeping? I'm not going to have anything in the bed or towing anything. One of them is hitting harder on the frame and it has the rear of the truck slightly cocked to one side. Thanks JT
