Cowhide Seats

I need to reapolster my seat and I'm considering going with a cowhide. Has anyone had any experience with cowhide? Do they wear well, do they hold up well?

Re: Cowhide Seats

My dad is an upholsterer. I'll ask. One thing I know he'll say is that you gotta make sure its automotive grade.

Re: Cowhide Seats

I had a king ranch. The leather in it was basically raw cow hide. It was a royal pain to keep looking nice. It wanted to stain and discolor badly. So bad, I will not have another. I like leather, but not in that state.
