Brake Line Help?

Why does this not look right?
This is one of those times where I wish I would have taken pics of this coming apart...
This is where all the lines meat up to go up to the MC at the left front. This is the LMC Pre-Bent line kit. I knew I would have to do some modifying to the lines going up from this point to the MC but why do these lines come out on the OUTSIDE of the frame here? Are they not supposed to be coming out on the INSIDE of the frame?
Is that "T" positioned right as well?? The pics on the website really suck and are not much help...

Re: Brake Line Help?

Some of the disc trucks had the lines on the outside of the rail an some were on the inside.
Your looks to be cut for the outside.
Honestly I think it's easier to tighten up the outside lines.

With that said your set up looks fine but I would flip the "t" around so a port will face straight up too the mc. Might need a slight tweak of the line to do so.

Yeah.. BUT the only thing that differs from inside or outside frame are the 2 lines that go from this point up to the MC... THESE line should stop at the INSIDE of the frame no matter what the other 2 do that go up from here... Although, I think youre right on it would be easier to work on with them running up the outside AND would be away from header heat... but you can check it out here http://www.lmctruck.com/icatalog/cb/full.aspx?Page=149

Re: Brake Line Help?

Here's a picture from my '69 teardown that will probably help. Mine's a 3/4 ton, but I think the routing was probably the same as a 1/2 ton.

Thank you for that. Now I have a pic of inside and outside routing.
